The Gift Of Singleness: Embracing Singleness, Brokenness, and Temptation

Being single as an adult can be weird. I mean, it’s like you’re genuinely happy for everyone on your timeline who’s getting married or having a baby – or swapping spit with their new “bae”.

But then there’s another side of being single whose key job qualification is to overthink. No one ever reallywants to start over again. The past. The memories. The future. Your mind starts playing games with the variables you can’t control. And if you’re not careful, you’ll find yourself hitting the fast-forward button and missing the good part.
But I’m here to tell you that solitude can be a good thing. A really good thing.

It’s a beautiful stage where you can bloom exactly where you’re planted.

Sometimes we become so focused on what we don’t have -that we miss the beauty of all the things you possess at the moment.

Do yourself a favor and start focusing on becoming the best version of you the world has ever seen. Travel. Explore. Go to the gym. Join a small group. Set new goals. Build bigger dreams.

Your time is now.

That small coffee shop you’ve always wanted to visit? Go!
The music festival in town this week? Invest in a cool looking flower crown and dance the night away.

You’re allowed to escape your cloud of thoughts and enjoy the resources God has placed around you.
Live a little- You’re allowed to have fun!

Become the supreme version of yourself; physically, emotionally, and mentally. You deserve at least that much with all you’ve been through.

Because our ultimate need is to be loved – we become obsessed with finding it. But when the time is right, it’ll come. I promise.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 reminds us that “There is a season for everything. A time for every activity under heaven.”
Seasons don’t last forever. So embrace where you are and do your thing. Everything is going to be alright.

I’m rooting for you.

  1. This is great! I got out of a relationship and have been feeling very weird about it. This was assurance that it’ll be okay. In its time. Thank you.
